Message 2
Hi there,
How are you your Sunday going?
It’s a lot happening in the world and my hope is that you keep the faith no matter what.
I feel like sharing this today and here we go.
My family and I had an incident where we lost a lot in terms of time, people, and money. When it happened, everybody felt like hitting a wall. I mean literally. To rather feel physical pain instead of emotional pain. The latter is so painful, you can’t control the severity of how your mind and your heart are being breaking apart. Even if you wipe the tears streaming down your face, you can’t lift the heaviness your heart carries. And with our incident, nobody could look at another person. You could feel the tension, the sorrow, the agony without saying a thing. We did anything we could to find the solution, but nothing amounted to anything.
One called “ Benji” blamed himself that it was their mistakes since they usually handled and took care of things in advance to avoid things like this to happen.
Another called “Len” blamed Benji for not listening to him and for robbing him of a big opportunity they will never get to have.
Now, even though Len secretly knew that Benji’s mistakes costed them big time, he asked Benji to stop blaming himself since what’s done is done and there is nothing can be done other than waiting. After asking Benji to do that, Len went to a room and couldn’t help but fall on the floor desperately. He was asking Benji to master up the courage to have faith, but he also needed that encouragement. He needed someone who he could not have to tell him that everything was going to turn up okay. He needed to hear that, but he had to do the work himself.
It’s one thing to have emotional back up. In other words, people who will cry or laugh with you. It’s another to feel like you have nobody when there are people around you. There is nothing that can tear you apart other than knowing that YOU are the only one responsible to lift yourself up. Of course, with the help of God. Which seems unfathomable at the time. But he had to believe and have faith. He had to for his sake. Len knew that whenever you are faced with a situation that seems impossible to solve on your own, having faith and professing a positive outcome was the only way that could get him and Benji from his anger, frustration, and sadness. Len had a way of believing of the impossible. Besides, that’s what got him through his tough times. And because he has experienced life changing when on his lowest moments, he still had courage to hang on one or two good memories of his triumphs and keep going when everything was falling apart. And for today, despite everything going south, his wish and prayer was for Benji to not let his world fall apart because of what he has loss and to wait for a better comeback.
And let me tell you this. Waiting is not easy. Waiting for rain when it’s bright sunny and hot. Rain that’s not anywhere to be found in the forecast news. Rain that’s not announced anytime soon anywhere. Waiting for that kind of rain is impossible without crazy faith. Without a certain sense of belief that’s beyond your imagination. Waiting for the impossible while knocking off the little noisy doubtful sound floating in your mind. That kind of waiting is not easy at all.
But guess what? Sometimes, waiting and seeing your problem suddenly resolved is as crazy as hearing that you have won the lottery. No matter how small or big of the matter of your wait.
In this respect, to anyone going through tough times or feeling like you’ve lost almost everything. First, I am sorry that happened to you. There is no reason to why it happened to you or yours. Second, please try to stop blaming yourself. You already know it won’t bring back anything other than sorrow for your soul. Try to focus your attention unto something else. And if here and there the flash of your defeat knocks on your spirit again, seat down and gently remind yourself that what’s done is not a punishment. Always guard your mind and shut off the little voice reminding you how unable, careless, or stupid you are. It might not be easy, but it’s possible.
At last:
- Be positive. As cliché as it sounds, have a hopeful and grateful attitude.
- Stop beating yourself up and stay strong.
- Remember the small wins and have faith to believe in the impossible.
- Do not stay worried or stressed over what you can’t control. Instead, have faith.
I wish you the very best because you deserve every good thing in the world.
